Operating Procedures for Asphalt Mixing Plant
1、 Pre start inspection
1. Check if the gear oil, air compressor oil, etc. are fully filled and if they are leaking.
2. Use a blowtorch to bake the asphalt measuring bucket.
3. Check the temperature of the thermal oil and asphalt.
4. Check if the screws of the main components such as the vibrating screen are loose.
5. Ensure that all transmission belts, chains, etc. are normal and not loose.
2、 Start the mixer
1. Be sure to ring the bell before starting to prevent anyone from entering the danger zone.
2. Turn on the main and secondary power switches of the control panel, as well as the power supply of the burner control panel.
3. Start the induced draft fan, mixing tank, vibrating screen, elevator, drying drum, inclined belt, flat belt, variable frequency power on, powder elevator, spiral 2, spiral 1, spiral 3, and air compressor in sequence (the induced draft fan and mixing tank are both started twice, and other parts are started after their second suction).
4. Turn on the industrial computer and wait for it to start up before turning on the blower (also known as secondary start, the motor for secondary start has a high current during startup, so wait for its current to drop to normal and for secondary suction before starting the next unit to avoid accidents).

3、 Operating the mixer
1. After starting the induced draft and blower for 3 minutes, the burner control panel "START" flashes, and ignition can be started at this time.
2. Turn on gas or acetylene, press "START" for 3 seconds, and the electronic ignition device will ignite. If it is lit, the "START", "HEAVY OIL", and "PUMP ON" indicator lights will remain on, and turn off gas or acetylene; If not lit, try again until lit.
3. Simultaneously open the induced draft and blower air doors, and open the frequency converter for feeding. At this time, the amount of sand and stone material should be kept small, otherwise the temperature will rise slowly. When the temperature of the knife is above 100 ℃, the feeding amount can be adjusted to normal. Adjust the blower damper to "AUTO" at 130 ℃.
4. After starting to mix the materials daily, it is necessary to manually mix 9-12 batches of materials because the mixing tank is relatively cold at this time. Then turn the mixing mode knob to "Auto" and press the "Auto Start" button.
4、 Shutdown
1. Reduce the feeding speed of the frequency converter to half or one-third of the normal speed (depending on the required material size) during the fifth batch of material before shutdown.
2. When stopping the fourth batch of material before shutdown, turn off the frequency converter to stop feeding. When the current in the drying cylinder decreases, press and hold the "STOP" button on the burner control panel for about 3 seconds to extinguish the fire. At this point, the "HEAVY OIL", "START", and "PUMP ON" indicator lights turn off. Rotate the blower damper to the "MAN" position, press the damper control button "CLOSE" until "START" starts flashing. At this point, the blower can be turned off.
3. When the last batch of material is left, turn the mixing mode knob to "manual", click "interrupt ingredient" at the bottom of the screen with the mouse, and manually put down the last batch of material.
4. Put fine stones and a little sand into the mixing tank and stir for a moment. Clean the mixing tank of materials and residual asphalt. Finally, empty the remaining material from the silo.
5. Turn off each motor in the reverse order of startup. (The drying cylinder temperature must be below 90 ℃ before it can be turned off) Then turn off the industrial computer, the secondary power supply, and the main power supply to the burner control console power supply. Close the main switch.
