The Hebei section of Beijing Hong Kong Macao expressway has a total length of 434.558 km, including 224.678 km of Beijing Shijiazhuang section and 209.88 km of Shi'an section. The estimated total investment is 36.652 billion yuan, including 18.889 billion yuan of Beijing Shijiazhuang section and 17.763 billion yuan of Shi'an section. It is understood that the Beijing Shijiazhuang section of Beijing Hong Kong Macao expressway is the main north-south traffic trunk line in Hebei Province in the "five vertical, six horizontal and seven lines" of the 2020 expressway network layout plan of Hebei Province. It is an important expressway connecting the central and southern regions of Hebei Province with the capital Beijing, and then connecting the northeast, North and central China. It plays a very important role in the national and Hebei provincial road networks, It is one of the busiest traffic channels in the country.

The Beijing Shijiazhuang reconstruction and expansion project starts at the junction of Beijing and Hebei in Xiyanghe village, wharf Town, Zhuozhou City, passes south through Zhuozhou, Gaobeidian, Dingxing, Xushui, Baoding North urban area, Baoding south urban area, Qingyuan, Wangdu, Dingzhou, Xinle, Gaocheng and 11 counties and urban areas, and terminates at Pengjiazhuang, Gaocheng, Shijiazhuang city, Connected to the reconstruction and expansion project of Shijiazhuang Anyang (Hebei Henan boundary) section of Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway under construction. Along the line, 13 interchanges will be reconstructed and expanded, including film and Television City, Zhuozhou, lintun, Gaobeidian, Dingxing, Xushui, Shangzhuang, Baoding, South Baoding, Dafu, Qingyuan, Wangdu and Dingzhou, and 7 interchanges will be built, including Hou langying, South Dingzhou, Guocun, South Shuangjing, Li Jiatuan, Han Jiawa and Peng Jiazhuang.
