Hunan Province launches construction of 3 railways and 4 expressways

On October 17th, this morning, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government held a mobilization meeting for the construction of 7 railways and highways in Yiyang City, launching a batch of major infrastructure projects, which will effectively promote poverty alleviation and wealth creation in poverty-stricken areas of our province, and provide solid guarantees for investment promotion and stable growth. Xu Shousheng, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presented plaques to representatives of the project company. The projects launched today include the Guizhou Zhangchang Railway, the Hunan section of the Mengxi to Central China Coal Transport Corridor (Menghua Railway), and the extension of the Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan intercity railway, with a total length of 573 kilometers and a total investment of 56.1 billion yuan in the province; The construction of four highways, namely Yima (from Yiyang to Majitang), Nanyi (from Nanxian to Yiyang), Wujing (from Wugang to Jingzhou), and Lianzhu (from Lianhuachong to Zhuzhou), has a total length of 279 kilometers and a total investment of 22.6 billion yuan. Seven railways and highways are vertically and horizontally distributed in nine cities and prefectures in our province, including many revolutionary old areas and areas where ethnic minorities gather.
