The construction of Zhongxiang section of Zaoyang Shishou expressway is expected to start within this year

The construction of Zhongxiang section of Zao (Yang) Shishou (Shou) expressway is expected to start within this year. By then, there will be three expressways passing through Zhongxiang. Convenient transportation makes Zhong Xiang more open, and its tourism, industry and modern agriculture will have more potential.

Zaoyang Shishou expressway is the fifth longitudinal line in the North-South longitudinal line of the "nine vertical, five horizontal and three ring" expressway network in our province, with a total length of 343km. It starts from Zaoyang, passes through Yicheng (Oule), Zhongxiang, Shayang, Qianjiang and Jiangling, and reaches Shishou City. It is another longitudinal Expressway channel between Erguang Expressway and Suiyue expressway. It is also connected to Henan in the north and Jianghan Plain in the south Dongting Lake Plain is a north-south longitudinal main channel.

At present, there are two expressways in Zhongxiang City. In June 2004, Xiangjing expressway, a transit Expressway in the city, was completed and opened to traffic. It is 39.8km in Zhongxiang City, passing through Huji, phosphate rock and Shuanghe towns, with two interchanges. The nearest exit is 26km away from Jiazhong city; In May 2010, Wujing expressway, the second transit expressway, was completed and opened to traffic. It is 42.9 kilometers in Zhongxiang City, passing through five towns (yards) including Changtan, jiukou, Luohansi, Chaihu and Shipai, with two interchanges. The nearest exit is 17 kilometers away from Jiazhong city.

Zaoshi expressway is the third transit Expressway in Zhongxiang City. According to the design, this expressway enters from Sunjiawan, Wuxing village, Changshou town in the north, passes through Yangzi, Jiuli, Changtan, Luohansi and jiukou town (Luoji), and exits through Chaihu town in the south, with a total length of 75 kilometers and a total investment of about 5.2 billion yuan (excluding the investment of the bridge across the Han River). Zaoshi expressway is planned to be constructed according to the standard of two-way four lane expressway. The design speed is 100 km / h, the subgrade width is 26 meters, and the design load of bridges and culverts is highway-i.

There are 5 interchanges in the territory, including Changshou interchange, Yangzi interchange, zhongxiangdong interchange (between Jiuli and Shuangqiao), Zhongxiang hub interchange (connection with Wujing Expressway) and jiukou interchange (where Luoji is located), and 2 service areas are set in Yangzi town and urban area.

At present, the project feasibility study report has passed the expert review. The construction funds come from enterprise investment and domestic bank loans. The proportion of project investment is 25% of capital and 75% of bank loans. The project is invested and constructed by Hubei transportation investment Co., Ltd., and Zhongxiang City is responsible for relevant coordination within the territory.

Zaoshi Expressway and Wujing Expressway form a north-south and east-west cross structure in Zhongxiang City, and Zaoshi expressway has five interchanges in Zhongxiang City, which is conducive to the up and down expressway. What is more advantageous is that Zhongxiang East Interchange is only 5km away from Jiazhong urban area. It is the nearest Expressway in and out of the urban area and the longest expressway in Zhongxiang territory. According to the relevant person in charge, the construction of Qianjiang Shishou section was started in August 2013. The construction of Zaoyang Qianjiang section is not far away, and the construction period is expected to be three years. After opening to traffic, the total mileage of Zhongxiang expressway will reach 157.7 kilometers.
