Yiwu Shugang Expressway starts construction

Yesterday morning, the commencement ceremony of Yiwu Shugang expressway project was held, marking the official commencement of key projects with large investment in the history of transportation construction in our city. After completion and operation, Shugang expressway will be incorporated into the national expressway network and implemented unified expressway management. Li Yifei, Secretary of the municipal Party committee, and Cheng Tao, chairman of the Provincial Communications Engineering Group, attended the commencement ceremony and delivered a speech.

Yiwu Shugang Expressway starts from Hangjinqu expressway, passes Houzhai street, Suxi Town, industrial park, Houcheng street and Niansanli street, and finally Yongjin expressway. The main line has a total length of 21.659 kilometers, adopts two-way six lanes, and the design speed is 100 kilometers per hour. The estimated total investment of the project is 5.606 billion yuan, including 3.4 billion yuan for construction and installation. The construction of the project is difficult, there are many large-scale interchanges, with a total of 6 interchanges. The proportion of bridges and tunnels is high, accounting for 86.3% of the work quantity. At the same time, it also needs to cross Hangzhou Changsha high-speed railway and Shanghai Kunming railway, which has high requirements for railway related construction. The project is also the first time in our city to adopt BT mode, and the construction unit is provincial handover group.

In his speech, Li Yifei first congratulated the official commencement of Shugang Expressway on behalf of the four municipal teams, and thanked the relevant provincial units for their support and help, as well as the people from all walks of life and along the line. He said that it took only 17 months for Yiwu Shugang Expressway to break ground, which fully reflects Yiwu spirit and Yiwu efficiency. The commencement of the project will further optimize the urban spatial layout, improve the collection and distribution capacity of Yiwu port, accelerate the construction of the city's international dry port, and have important strategic significance for urban congestion control, urban pattern expansion and the construction of the Silk Road new area. Li Yifei hopes that relevant departments and units will always care about and support the project construction, do all work more solidly, faster and more beautiful, work together to build the pride and speed of Yiwu, and contribute to the transformation and development of the city.

Cheng Tao said that the provincial handover group will adhere to civilized construction and safe production, improve the quality assurance system, strengthen plan management and process control, ensure project quality and progress, and strive to build Yiwu Shugang Expressway into a high-quality project.

Municipal leaders Chen Xiuxian, song Yinghao, Ge Guoqing, Si Jianmin, Wang Kuoming, Zhao Guorong, Wu Weixing and Dong Liming attended the commencement ceremony. Vice Mayor Chen Xiaozhong presided over the commencement ceremony.
